Thanks for letting me know about this issue. I think some of the radicals may cause problems from time to time since they are not commonly used as stand-alone characters.
Basically it looks like 人 (person) only with the legs further apart. It is the top part of this character also: 全
On the link you provided I was able to see an image of the character, but it did say it was not a unicode character. Could you see the image also?

I can see the image. As it is an image, not text, anyone can see it.
I think the problem is that the open source fonts still have not completed the CJK Unified Ideograph Extension B glyphs in Unicode, where this character is. If MS Arial Unicode has it, I’ll switch to it.

Oops. *forehead slap* Of course you could see the image. :/
As for the font, I am using Motoya Kyotai for the textbook font, and YOzFont for the handwriting. Both are free downloads, but you do need to read Japanese to jump through all the hoops for Motoya.
