Your brain is better at remembering things that are funny, shocking, graphic or otherwise out of the ordinary, so do your best to come up with hacks that are really wild. You’ll definitely remember those better than ones that are bland.
What counts as “wild” for you may be different than for others, so you may want to experiment a bit with different approaches.
Some people like to go for gory hacks with lots of blood and guts (which is easy to do with radicals like “sword”). If you’re a big fan of crime shows or slasher movies, this may be the route for you.
Other people like to visualize outrageous situations, like someone gnawing on a hunk of raw meat (朗) or a person putting their mouth on a tree (保). Monty Python fans may prefer this “silly” approach.
I’m sure there are other approaches also, and whatever works for you is great. (All I ask is that you keep it clean when you share your hacks, since I don’t want this to be an 18 and over site!)
What memorization approach works for you?
